Freedom Men's Soccer Preseason Poll

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Two-time defending Freedom Conference Champions Misericordia University has been selected to once again win the conference title according to the 2013 Freedom Preseason Coach’s Poll.

The Cougars have won two consecutive Freedom titles and four out of the last five.  Misericordia topped the poll with 53 points earning three first place votes, but three other school’s received first place votes including two conference tournament teams from a year ago.

The number one seed from the 2012 conference tournament, Manhattanville received one first place vote, finishing second in the poll with 39 points just narrowly edging King’s and Eastern who tied for third place with 37 total points.

Misericordia knocked off King’s 2-0 and Fairleigh Dickinson Univeristy at Florham 3-1 on their way to the Freedom Conference Championship.

The 2013 men’s soccer season begins on Friday, August 30th with non-conference action.  The 2013 Freedom Conference schedule will begin on October 10th.
