ANNVILLE, Pa. (Field Hockey) – The 2015 All-Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth (MAC Commonwealth) Field Hockey Team has been announced. Alvernia’s Margaret Wentzel was named MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Year. Lebanon Valley’s Kristen Garman was named MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year. Messiah’s Shayna Landis was named MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year, and the Falcons’ Brooke Good was named MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year.
The All-MAC Commonwealth field hockey team is nominated and voted on by the eight conference field hockey coaches.
Joining Garman (defender) and Wentzel (forward) on the All-MAC Commonwealth First Team were: forwards Carissa Gehman (Messiah) and Amanda Smith (Albright); midfielders Lindsay Bower (Messiah), Holli Eppley (Stevenson) and Maddie Fox (Lebanon Valley); defenders Taylor Dalisera (Arcadia), Melanie Lowry (Alvernia) and Hannah Roland (Messiah); and goalie Aileen Taylor (Albright).
The All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team selections were: forwards Rachel Longenecker (Arcadia), Rosemarie Neiva (Stevenson) and Lyndee Sheaffer (Lebanon Valley); midfielders Ashley Aires (Widener), Mackenzie Faight (Albright), Kayla Herr (Widener) and Laureen Ransegnola (Arcadia); defenders Dana Adamson (Widener), Cassidy Barrow (Albright), Meg Gill (Stevenson) and Rachel Gorman (Lebanon Valley); and goalie Shelby Landes (Messiah).
Six players were named All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention, including Brittany Hodson (Arcadia), Taylor Holt (Messiah), Shayna Landis (Messiah), Kasey Neiderer (Albright), Mikalya Ninos (Widener) and Nicole Wilkerson (Messiah).
