ANNVILLE, Pa. (Volleyball) – The 2015 All-Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth (MAC Commonwealth) Volleyball Team has been announced. Messiah’s Jane Underman was named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year. Hood’s Elena Young was named MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year, and Messiah’s Judi Tobais was named MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year.
The All-MAC Commonwealth Volleyball team is nominated and voted on by the nine conference volleyball coaches.
Joining Underman (outsider hitter) and Young (middle hitter) to the All-MAC Commonwealth First Team were: libero Allie Garrett (Lebanon Valley); setter Brooke Gallagher (Messiah), middle hitter Greta Weidemoyer (Lebanon Valley); and outsider hitters Kristen Douglas (Messiah) and Annika Schwartz (Stevenson).
The All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team selections were: libero Deanna Bradbury (Stevenson); setters Sabrinia Barbieri (Widener), Payton Belella (Hood) and Catherine Burger (Lycoming); middle hitters Elizabeth Joseph (Arcadia) and Alli Quirk (Lebanon Valley); and outside hitters Nicole Dorman (Widener) and Kristen Sipling (Alvernia).
Sara Bollinger (Stevenson) and Emily Zellers (Messiah) were named All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention.
