ANNVILLE, Pa. (Women’s Lacrosse) – The 2015 All-Commonwealth Conference Women’s Lacrosse Team has been announced. Stevenson’s Kathryn Merrick was named Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Year. Messiah’s Brooke Gamble was named Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year. Arcadia’s Nicole Hutson was named Commonwealth Rookie of the Year, and Messiah’s Heather Greer was named Commonwealth Coach of the Year.
Joining Gamble (defender) and Merrick (attack) on the All-Commonwealth First Team were: attack Sam Boyce (Lebanon Valley) and Erin Farrell (Albright); midfield Carli Bafford (Stevenson), Bailey Benz (Lebanon Valley), Erin Misner (Arcadia), Amanda Smith (Albright) and Claire Stikeleather (Messiah); defenders Molly Devilbiss (Messiah) and Meg Gill (Stevenson); and goalies Alexa Dipeso (Messiah) and Lauren Couch (Hood).
Named to the All-Commonwealth Second Team were: attack Carly Bajus (Messiah), Madi Brunk (Messiah) and Olivia Monteiro (Stevenson); midfield Stephanie Athens (Messiah), Meghan Garvey (Widener), Meghenn Jackson (Lycoming), Tori Kuntz (Lebanon Valley) and Meghan Wilson (Albright); defenders Alex Leddy (Alvernia), Emily Moatz (Lebanon Valley), Sarah Nale (Albright) and Dana Roessler (Arcadia); and goalie Megan Dunn (Widener).
There were eight players named All-Commonwealth Honorable Mention, including Leanne Bittner (Stevenson), Jordyn Dunacusky (Arcadia), Dawn Faranetta (Arcadia), Nicole Hutson (Arcadia), Jordan Lazarich (Lycoming), Brooke Stoltzfus (Lebanon Valley), Bailey Stover (Alvernia) and Jackie Strange (Alvernia).
