ANNVILLE, Pa. (Women’s Basketball) – The 2015-16 All-MAC Commonwealth Women’s Basketball Team has been announced. Stevenson’s Sara Tarbert was named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year, and Messiah’s Alecia Rohrer was named MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year. Albright’s Janice Luck was named MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year for the second-straight season.
The All-MAC Commonwealth Women’s Basketball Team is nominated and voted on by the nine conference women’s basketball coaches.
Joining Tarbert (forward) on the All-MAC Commonwealth First Team were: guard Ally Ferrucci (Widener); forwards Addy Crenny (Arcadia) and Gillian Glackin (Messiah); and center Kelecia Harris (Albright).
Named to the All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team were: guards Kiely Chaklos (Lebanon Valley), Kaitlyn Hoff (Messiah), Shannon Thomas (Albright) and Taylor Umbrell (Lebanon Valley); and forward Brianna Wylie (Widener).
Five players were named All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention, including guards Nicole Calella (Lycoming) and Jane Joyce (Albright); and forwards Lexie Lantz (Lebanon Valley), Shelby Mueller (Lycoming) and Alecia Rohrer (Messiah).
