ANNVILLE, Pa. (Conference News) – The regular-season conference schedules came to a close on Saturday for baseball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, softball and men’s and women’s tennis. The Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth (MAC Commonwealth) and Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Championships will get underway on Monday, May 2 as several teams look to punch their tickets to their respective NCAA Division III Championships.
BASEBALL
The 2016 MAC Commonwealth Baseball Championship is set to begin on Thursday, May 5 and run through Saturday, May 7 at PeoplesBank Park in York, Pa. The Alvernia Crusaders (27-13, 17-4 MAC Commonwealth) earned the top-seed and will open the tournament with No. 4 Stevenson (20-20, 11-10 MAC Commonwealth) on Thursday at 4 p.m. Widener (21-16-1, 14-7-0 MAC Commonwealth) earned the No. 2 seed and will face No. 3 Messiah (21-18, 13-8 MAC Commonwealth) in the second game on Thursday at 7 p.m. The losers of both games will face each other on Friday at 11 a.m., with the winners of Thursday’s games to follow at 3 p.m. For the entire bracket see the championship central page in the above links.
The 2016 MAC Freedom Baseball Championship is set to begin on Friday, May 6 and run through Sunday, May 8 at Owls Field in West Lawn, Pa. The Misericordia Cougars (30-10, 17-4 MAC Freedom) earned the top-seed and will open the tournament with No. 4 King’s (23-13, 11-10 MAC Freedom) on Friday at 4 p.m. DeSales (25-13, 15-6 MAC Freedom) earned the No. 2 seed and will face No. 3 Manhattanville (24-14, 13-8 MAC Freedom) in the second game on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The losers of both games will face each other on Saturday at 11 a.m., with the winners of Friday’s games to follow at 3 p.m. For the entire bracket see the championship central page in the above links.

Messiah (34-3, 16-0 MAC Commonwealth) earned the No. 1 seed and will play the winner of game one on May 6 at 2 p.m. Game one is scheduled for May 6 at 10 a.m. between No. 5 Arcadia (23-17, 7-9 MAC Commonwealth) and No. 4 Stevenson (15-23, 8-8 MAC Commonwealth).
