YORK, Pa. (Swimming) – The third day of the 2018 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Men’s and Women’s Swimming Championships were completed on Friday at the Graham Aquatic Center.
Through 12 events, Arcadia remains atop the men’s standings with 381.5 points. Albright is just behind in second with 381 points. Messiah (324 points), Widener (253.5 points) and Misericordia (247 points) round out the top-five.
Messiah remains atop the women’s standings through three days with 427.5 points. Widener is in second with 318.5 points. Arcadia (299 points), Misericordia (230 points) and Albright (225.5 points) round out the top-five.

200-YARD FREESTYLE RELAY
Men
Messiah’s Andrew Leeper, Nolan McArdle, Daniel Logan and Drew Wolfe won gold with a time of 1:25.36. Arcadia won silver with a time of 1:26.09, and Albright captured bronze with a time of 1:26.36.
Women
Messiah’s Kaylee Hollenbach, Brittany Pond, Cassie Cotton and Katie Wingert won gold with a new MAC Championship and overall MAC record time of 1:35.77. The Falcons broke the previous record of 1:36.29 set by their own Tara Freeman, Cassie Cotton, Emily Reale and Katie Wingert relay team in 2016. Widener won silver with a time of 1:37.85, and Albright took home bronze with a time of 1:38.19.
400-YARD INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY (IM)
Men
Arcadia’s Travis Dalton won gold with a new MAC Championship and overall MAC record time of 4:06.16. The previous record time of 4:07.39 was set in 2010 by Albright’s Chris Sheerer. Dalton came close to breaking the record in prelims with a time of 4:07.81 to get the top seed. Albright’s Teaq Culver took silver with a time of 4:16.19, and the Lions’ Brendan Mackey-Wood took bronze with a time of 4:17.05.
Women
King’s Kirsten Siwy won gold with a time of 4:40.56. It is Siwy’s second-straight gold medal in the event. Wilkes’ Abby Keating took silver with a time of 4:44.85, and Arcadia’s Rachel Samson won bronze with a time of 4:45.59.
100-YARD BUTTERFLY
Men
Albright’s Bryce Schaffer won gold with a time of 50.36 seconds. Widener’s Aaron Green took silver with a time of 51.05 seconds, and Lebanon Valley’s Ian Lloyd took bronze with a time of 51.07. Schaffer broke both the MAC Championship and overall MAC record during his preliminary heat with a time of 49.87 seconds. The previous record of 50.73 was set in 2014 by Lycoming’s Dan Woods. Lloyd also swam faster than the original record with a preliminary time of 50.65 seconds.
Women
Messiah’s Cassie Cotton won gold with an NCAA Division III ‘B’ cut time of 56.33 seconds. It is Cotton’s second-straight gold in the event. Widener’s Jill Bujanowski took silver in a time of 57.87 seconds, and Albright’s Ashlyn Chermol won bronze in a time of 58.55 seconds. Cotton’s preliminary time of 56.35 seconds was also an NCAA ‘B’ cut time.

Men
Messiah’s Drew Wolfe won gold with a new MAC Championship and overall MAC record time of 1:41.40. The previous record time of 1:41.47 was set in 2017 by Wideners Martin Bohdan. Bohdan took silver this year with a time of 1:43.74, and Messiah’s Daniel Logan won bronze with a time of 1:43.93.
Women
Messiah’s Katie Wingert wins fourth-straight gold in a time of 1:53.73, just off her own conference record time of 1:53.20. FDU-Florham’s Molly Miller took home silver with a time of 1:56.96, and Arcadia’s Megan Hupp won bronze with a time of 1:57.58.

Men
King’s Rhyce Hammaker won gold with a time of 57.67 seconds. Arcadia’s Mark Preedy took home silver with a time of 59.09 seconds, and Widener’s John Luksic won bronze with a time of 59.66 seconds.
Women
Misericordia’s Grace Nikolski won gold in a time of 1:06.55. It is Nikolski’s second-straight gold medal in the event. Stevenson’s Juli Burnett won silver in a time of 1:06.67, and Lycoming’s Emilie Kramer took home bronze with a time of 1:08.18.
100-YARD BACKSTROKE
Men
Lycoming’s Callan Jordan won gold with a time of 51.38 seconds. Messiah’s Nolan McArdle won silver with a time of 52.21 seconds, and Ridge Hagar took bronze with a time of 52.59 seconds.
Women
Messiah’s Kaylee Hollenbach won gold with a time of 57.25 seconds. Stevenson’s Meanie Milam took silver with a time of 58.82 seconds, and teammate Colby Stein won bronze with a time of 59.29 seconds.
