AHCA Release
ANNVILLE, Pa. (Ice Hockey) – The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced its 2017-18 Krampade AHCA All-American Scholars on Thursday. A total of 48 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) student-athletes were recognized.
To be recognized as a Krampade AHCA All-American Scholar, an ice hockey student-athlete must have obtained at least a 3.6 grade-point average (GPA) each semester and participated in 40-percent of their school’s games in 2017-18.
There was a total of 1,310 student-athletes recognized across both genders in Division’s I, II and III.
"We are extremely proud of this group of student-athletes who have competed at the highest levels of the game on the ice and matched that performance in the classroom," said AHCA executive director Joe Bertagna. "The sport demands a great deal from these athletes so it is a great statement they make, individually and collectively, with their ability to attain this level of academic achievement."
