2018 Schedule
ANNVILLE, Pa. (Men’s Soccer) – The Eastern Eagles were selected as the favorite in the 2018 conference preseason poll conducted among the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) men’s soccer coaches. The Eagles received 45 points and four of the eight first-place votes.
DeSales collected 43 points and two first-place votes to rank second, and King’s received the final two first-place votes for 37 points to rank third. Manhattanville earned 32 points and Misericordia collected 26 points to round out the top-5 in the preseason poll.
The rest of the poll in respective order includes Wilkes (19 points), FDU-Florham (15 points) and Delaware Valley (7 points).
DeSales claimed the 2017 MAC Freedom title in penalty kicks (4-3) over Eastern after a 1-1 draw to claim its fifth championship—first since 2010. The Bulldogs advanced to the NCAA Division III Championship, but fell to Johns Hopkins in the opening round.
Joining DeSales (3) and Eastern (1) at the 2017 conference championship were King’s (2) and FDU-Florham (4).
