Stevenson Men, Messiah & Misericordia Women Selected as Favorites Heading into 2019 MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships

The 2019 MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held at Lehigh University’s Rauch Field House, Feb. 22-23

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (Indoor Track & Field) –
The 2019 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships are set for Friday, Feb. 22 through Saturday, Feb. 23 at Lehigh University’s Rauch Field House. The Stevenson Mustangs men’s team, and both the Messiah Falcons women’s and Misericordia Cougars women’s team were selected as the favorites in the MAC Indoor Track & Field Pre-Championship Coaches’ Polls conducted among the conference track & field coaches.

Admission prices to the 2019 MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships can be found on the championship central page. Fans can purchase tickets at the gate. The ticket price also includes a heat sheet. There will no longer be printed programs, however the program information can now be accessed via the championship central page. There will be information at the site of competition on how to access the online program from your mobile device.
 
The Stevenson Mustangs were selected atop the 2019 MAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Pre-Championship Coaches’ Poll with nine first-place votes for 140 points. Widener came in second with 133 points and four first-p/ace votes, and Messiah was fourth with 119 points. Eastern (110 points) and Lebanon Valley (95 points) rounded out the top-five of the poll. The Messiah Falcons and Misericordia Cougars were picked as the favorites in the 2019 MAC Women’s Indoor Track & Field Pre-Championship Coaches’ Poll with both teams receiving six first-place votes for 135 points. Stevenson received one first-place vote and 124 points to ran third. Eastern (111 points) and Widener (98 points) round out the top-five of the poll. (Full poll can be viewed below)

2018 Team Results
The Stevenson Mustangs won their first-ever MAC men’s indoor title with 164 points. Widener, who had won eight-straight titles, finished in second with 162 points. The rest of the teams finished in respective order: t3. Messiah (90), t3. Misericordia, 5. Eastern (59), 6. Lebanon Valley (51.5), 7. DeSales (39), 8. Delaware Valley (33), 9. King’s (21), 10. Albright (17.5), 11. Manhattanville (5), 12. Alvernia (3), Hood (2).
 
The Misericordia Cougars won their third MAC women’s indoor title in the last four years. The Cougars collected 150 points in 2018. The rest of the teams finished in respective order: 2. Stevenson (125), 3. Messiah (109), 4. Widener (103), Eastern (79.5), 6. Lebanon Valley (56.5), 7. DeSales (41.5), 8. King’s (35), 9. Alvernia (21), 10. Manhattanville (9), 11. Hood (6), 12. Delaware Valley (3), 13. Albright (2.5).
