GLENSIDE, Pa. -
The Arcadia University Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced the hiring of Xavier Feliciano as the new Head Coach of Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field. Feliciano will begin his duties at Arcadia on September 22nd.

"I am truly grateful to the search committee, athletic administration, and everyone involved in this process for entrusting me with the opportunity to lead Arcadia's cross country and track & field programs," Feliciano said. "Their support and belief in my vision means a great deal, and I am excited to get started."

Feliciano comes to Glenside after most recently serving as an Assistant Track and Field Coach at Widener University. While with the Pride, Feliciano helped lead the Pride to two straight Women's Indoor Team Championships and back-to-back Women's Outdoor Team Championships. At Widener, Feliciano assisted in all aspects of the program assisting with recruiting, practice planning, technique, and academic monitoring.

"Coach Feliciano was extremely prepared throughout the interview process and impressed us with his vision for our program," Associate Vice President of Athletics Brian Granata said. "He understands the complexities of overseeing six sports across three seasons with student-athletes participating in different disciples that require specific training. I am confident that he, along with our strong staff of assistant coaches, will guide our program into a strong future."

Prior to his time at Widener, Feliciano gained experience as an assistant at Lincoln University and Kutztown Area High School where he helped coach sprinters and pole vaulters, assisted with recruiting, and organized practices.

"Arcadia is a University with tremendous potential, a strong community, and student-athletes who are ready to achieve great things," Feliciano concluded. "I'm eager to build on the foundation already in place, help our athletes grow on and off the track, and be part of the exciting future ahead for Arcadia athletics."

Feliciano graduated from Kutztown in 2021 with a degree in Criminal Justice, where he was a three-year member of the Bears' Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field teams. Feliciano was a 2020 Nike Track and Field/USTFCCCA Division II Indoor All-American, two-time USTFCCCA All-Atlantic Region, PSAC Pole Vault Champion in 2020, and a two-time All-PSAC selection. To cap off his career, Feliciano was named Kutztown's 2021 Male Senior Athlete of the Year.
