Sophomore Traci Tempone of Elizabethtown College was the only woman to break the 24-minute barrier as she ran to a win at the MAC Women's Cross Country Championships Saturday at Messiah College. Tempone was one of six Blue Jays to crack the top 10, but her run far outpaced any of the 121 competitors she was up against. The second year runner won the race by 14 seconds over Misericordia's Marina Orrson. Tempone joins two-time champ Erin Fisher (2006 and 2007) and Megan VanDenHengel (2009) as E-town's indivudal champions at the meet. She also earned MAC Runner of the Year honors for winning the conference championship meet.
