Senior Russell Speiden threw down the top time in the mile at Saturday's Bucknell Bison Open and Multi. Speiden, a returning All-American in the event, nearly bested his PR set last March at the Columbia Last Chance Meet. Saturday he ran a 4:10.62, beating out his closest competitor by 6.5 seconds. He missed a new personal best by 0.38, but his time Saturday was the best recorded this season by any Middle Atlantic Conference runner by almost six seconds.
