Elizabethtown junior Nadine Yunginger filled the basket early and often on her way to a career-high 31 points in Saturday's 76-69 win at Alvernia. The Jays' five-foot guard knocked down five of six 3-point attempts and was a perfect 14-of-14 at the foul line. She's the first player from E-town to top 30 points in a single game since Erin Walton scored 32 against Moravian back in Feb. 2007. Yunginger also became the first Blue Jay since Walton to hit 14 or more free throws in a game, which the former Jay did during that same 2006-07 season. In addition to her 31-point performance, Yunginger grabbed eight rebounds and handed out a pair of assists. For the week she averaged 6.5 boards per game. She scored eight points in an early week loss to nationally-ranked Lebanon Valley.
