Tyler Hartranft led King’s to its second straight major upset as the Monarchs stunned previous MAC co-leader Lycoming College 28-24. Hartranft completed 19-of-27 passes for 295 yards and three touchdowns without throwing an interception. Included was a game-winning 39-yard touchdown pass with 0:09 left in the contest, occurring after Lycoming had just taken the lead on a touchdown with 0:46 remaining. Facing a third-and-17 from the King’s 30, Hartranft completed a 12-yard pass to Dan Kempa to set up a fourth-and-five play. He then hit Patrick Robinson for 19 yards to the Lycoming 39. On the next play he found Justin Burke for the game-winning 39-yard score. It marked the first time King’s has won five straight games since 2006 and the Monarchs first victory over Lycoming since 2008.
