Kaitlyn Malshefski earned most valuable player honors in leading the Lady Monarchs to the team championship of the King's College Invitational Tournament. In 15 games, she totaled 58 kills with a .437 hitting percentage, while adding 24 digs and three service aces. She hit .591 in a 3-0 win over tournament runner-up and new Freedom Conference rival Misericordia, while also hitting .429 with 21 kills against league rival Wilkes. For the week, she averaged 3.9 kills and 1.6 over the course of 15 games.
