Widener senior All-America Laura Harris won her third David B. Eavenson Award as the Women's Most Outstanding Swimmer and freshman Ian Gaynor (Donegal, Ireland) was tabbed the Men's Rookie of the Year at the Middle Atlantic Conference Swimming Championships in York, PA. Harris, the 2011 and 2013 MAC Most Outstanding Female Swimmer as well as the 2011 MAC Rookie of the Year, concluded her amazing league career with four titles this week and 20 overall. She took the 200-yard backstroke for the third consecutive year in 2:02.01 to set a championship record, the 200-yard IM for the second straight year in 2:08.68 and the 100-yard backstroke in 56.36 seconds after setting the championship record of 56.13 seconds in the preliminaries.
