Elizabethtown senior forward Taylor Kreider became the 24th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark in an 80-31 win over Arcadia Monday night. Kreider's accomplishment comes in less than three full seasons with the team after she spent her freshman season at another institution. Her 20 points and 12 rebounds were a major part of E-town building a 42-20 halftime lead against the Knights, and then breaking the game wide open with a 23-0 run to start the second half. The Willow Street native scored her 1,000th point on a layup off an inbounds pass with 14:22 remaining in the first half. Following a week in which she averaged 17.3 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game while collecting her 11th and 12th double-doubles of the season, Kreider now stands with 1,047 points, 23rd most in program history. She ranks 28th in the nation in rebounds per game and 36th in double-doubles, and leads the Commonwealth Conference in both categories.
