A week after hitting an individual milestone, Elizabethtown College senior forward Taylor Kreider was a key reason the Jays were able to win the program's 1,000th game last Tuesday at Stevenson. Saddled with two early fouls, Kreider had to sit out much of the first half, only scoring three points in seven minutes. However, the senior 1,000-point scorer took over the second half of the game, shooting 9-for-10 and pouring in 21 points and hauling down nine of her 11 rebounds for her 13th double-double of the season in a 72-66 victory over the Mustangs. On Saturday at Albright, Kreider posted 14 points and nine rebounds to help E-town clinch the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Commonwealth Conference playoffs. It was the second straight week in which she averaged a double-double (19 and 10 this week). Kreider ranks in the top 30 nationally in both rebounds per game and double-doubles.
