Maura Bruen has begun the 2009 season with 9.1 scoreless innings in the circle. Following 2.1 innings of two-hit relief on Saturday against Plattsburgh, the junior tossed her first career solo perfect game against PSU-Abington on Sunday, striking out a career-high 10 batters on her way to the program's first non-combined perfect game in nearly six years. The gem was Bruen's second career appearance in a perfect game.
