Ernie Pitone (Widener / So. / Springfield, Pa.) won the 2014 MAC Men’s Cross Country Championship in a time of 25:00.6—12 seconds faster than second place. Pitone was named the 2014 MAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Year on Saturday as well. He finished runner-up and earned Rookie of the Year honors in 2013 as a freshman.
