Matthew Grossmann (Wilkes / Fr. / Lancaster, Pa.) went 3-0 to claim the 133 lb. title at the Will Abele Invitational. It marked the second-straight individual title for Grossmann, who claimed the 133-pound crown at the Wilkes Open in late December. He started the day with a 10-2 major decision in the quarterfinals before posting an 8-2 decision in the semifinals to reach the title bout. There, Grossmann pinned Rhode Island's Chris Hoogheem in 3:58 on way to the championship. The freshman was one of four Colonel to earn an individual title to help Wilkes finish second overall.
