Casey Wall (Lebanon Valley / So., P / Colts Neck, N.J.) turned in one of the best performances of his young career last Thursday when his 8.0 inning, seven-strikeout effort led Lebanon Valley to a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Messiah one day after the Falcons knocked off Shenendoah, the nation's ninth-ranked team. Wall scattered seven hits and allowed just one earned run. He worked out of trouble in the eighth inning when Messiah got runners to second and third and looked poised to reclaim the lead but Wall stranded them, allowing the LVC offense to complete the comeback in the bottom half. Wall put together two 1-2-3 innings and faced the minimum number of batters in another en route to improving to 3-1 on the year.
