Ian Gaynor (Widener / Jr. / Donegal, Ireland) earns his third conference weekly award. Gaynor led Widener to a third-place finish, second Division III school, and the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. The junior factored in three school records, three first-place finishes and recorded two NCAA provisional times—both in the 50-yard freestyle. Individually, Gaynor won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles in times of 20.75 seconds and 45.68 seconds, respectively. He placed second in the 200-yard freestyle behind a Division I swimmer from Delaware. Gaynor was also part of three record breaking relay teams in the 200- and 400-yard freestyle, and 400-yard medley relay events. His leadoff leg in the 200-yard freestyle was 20.41 seconds to give him a second NCAA ‘B’ cut of the weekend.
