Kayli Paugh (Hood / So., P / Elkridge, Md.) led Hood to a game one 6-3 victory over conference foe Stevenson. The sophomore struck out nine batters, the most for a Blazer pitcher since 2012. In a complete game win, Paugh scattered six hits and walked just one batter. At the plate, the pitcher helped her own cause by hitting a two-run home run.
