Defensive Player of the Week
Jimmy Lauer (Stevenson / Sr., CB / Sykesville, Md.) led the No. 24 Mustang defense with nine tackles, including six solo tackles in a 24-13 win over Lebanon Valley. Lauer made six of his nine tackles in the second half, including four in the fourth quarter. The senior cornerback opened the second half with an interception on Lebanon Valley’s first drive of the third quarter to maintain Stevenson’s 14-0 lead. The Mustang offense, with a short field thanks to the interception, scored to take a 21-0 lead. Lauer now has two interceptions on the season on a Stevenson defense that leads the conference with 10 interceptions in three games.
