Defensive Player of the Week
Bobby Russell (King’s / Sr., LB / Hamburg, N.J.) played a big role in leading King’s to a 21-17 win over conference foe Lebanon Valley. Russell had a season-high 15 tackles, including eight solo, with 1.5 tackles for loss, an interception and a forced fumble. The senior made two tackles on a pair of fourth-down conversion attempts in the second half. The first stop on fourth-and-two, Russell made a clutch tackle at the King’s 25-yard line in the third quarter to turn the ball over to his offense on downs. The second big stop came in the fourth quarter when LVC advanced to King’s three-yard line. Russell made the stop on fourth down for a one-yard loss. He helped keep the Dutchmen off the scoreboard in the second half.
