With the score 21-16 in favor of Alfred, Winters gave the Devils a 22-21 lead on a 28-yard touchdown pass. After Alfred went up 27-22, Winters threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to give the Devils their last lead, 28-27. Earlier in the game, Winters had a touchdown pass of 65 yards and a touchdown run of 75 yards.
