MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
DeJuan Smith (Albright / Jr. / G / Bowie, Md.) led the Lions to a 2-0 week in conference action with wins over Hood and Lebanon Valley. Smith averaged 20.5 points, six rebounds, two assists, 1.5 steals and one block per game. The junior also averaged 58 percent (14-of-24) from the field and 60 percent (3-of-5) from behind the arc. In a 61-57 win over Hood, Smith recorded 13 points with six rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. In a 70-68 win at Lebanon Valley, the junior shot 61 percent (11-of-18) from the field for 28 points and six rebounds. The Lions are now atop the conference with a 5-0 conference record.
