MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Alysha Lofton (Albright / Jr. / G-F / Warrington, Pa.) earns her second conference weekly award of the season. She led the Lions to a 2-1 week, including a road win over previously unbeaten No. 22 Messiah. Lofton scored a career and game-high 31 points on 11-of-15 (73%) shooting against the Falcons. She also had seven rebounds, four assist and was a perfect 9-for-9 from the charity stripe in the 85-82 win. Lofton recorded a double-double with 17 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, five blocks and three steals in a 63-50 win over Lycoming. She finished the week shooting 60 percent (21-of-35) from the field while averaging 17.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and four assists. Albright now sits atop the conference as the only unbeaten team in conference play.
