Marquis Marshall (Alvernia / Sr. / F / Reading, Pa.) averaged 30 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 56 percent (20-of-36) from the field and 75 percent (6-of-8) from behind the arc in a 1-1 week for the Crusaders. Marshall opened the week with 33 points on 11-of-16 (69%) shooting, including 3-of-4 from long range in a 94-77 win over Stevenson. The senior added seven rebounds and a steal, while shooting 8-of-10 from the charity stripe. Marshall then recorded a double-double with 27 points, 16 rebounds, three blocks and two steals in a 78-73 setback. Alvernia earned the fourth-seed in the conference tournament.
