MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week
Katie Rabuck (Widener / Jr., P / Hegins, Pa.) picked up both wins in a doubleheader sweep of conference foe Albright. Rabuck was a hit batter away from a perfect game in a 5-0 complete-game no-hit shutout in game one. The junior did not allow a hit or a walk and struck out nine batters in seven innings of work. The only batter to reach base was in the first inning on a hit-by-pitch. Trailing 4-2 in game-two, Rabuck pitched 1-1/3 innings of scoreless softball, striking out one batter, walking none and allowing one hit in a 6-4 comeback win. She finished the week with a 0.00 ERA and allowed batter to hit at a .038 average.
