Ernie Pitone (Widener / Sr. / Springfield, Pa.) ran the fastest 5,000-meter time in NCAA Division III this season at Division I Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday. Pitone navigated the track in a time of 14:08.18, which is more than seven seconds faster than the next best time in the country this spring.
