Special Teams Player of the Week
Tyler Hodges (Lebanon Valley / Jr., LB / Lewisberry, Pa.) was key during special teams in Lebanon Valley’s 31-24 upset win over Stevenson. The linebacker made two huge special teams plays that led to 14 points. The first came when the junior burst through the Mustangs’ line and blocked a punt that was covered by LVC on Stevenson’s 12-yard line. The Dutchmen scored a touchdown on the next play to put them ahead for the first time early in the second quarter. On the ensuing kickoff, LVC jarred the ball loose and Hodges made the recovery at the Mustangs’ 21-yard line. Five plays later, LVC added another touchdown for a 21-7 lead. Hodges added seven tackles in the win.
