MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Niamh Harkins (Wilkes / Fr., D / Pennington, N.J.) led the Colonels to a 2-0 week and to their first ever top-seed in the conference tournament. Harkins anchored a defense that held regionally ranked SUNY Cortland, a team averaging 15 shots per game, to just five shots (three on goal) in a 1-0 road victory. The freshman then stymied Manhattanville to just six shots (three on goal) in a 2-1 win that clinched the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.
