MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Phil Pierfy (Arcadia / Jr., F / Easton, Pa.) led the Knights to a 2-1 week while averaging 24.3 points and 5.67 rebounds per game. More impressively, Pierfy shot 69 percent (25-of-36) from the floor, 50 percent (5-of-10) from long range and 82 percent (18-of-22) from the charity stripe. Pierfy recorded three 20-plus point games over the week, including a career-best 29 points on 11-of-13 shooting (3-of-4 from long range) in an 89-71 win over Lewis & Clark in Hawaii. He added five rebounds, two assists and a steal in the win. Pierfy scored 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting with six rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks in a 74-58 win at Bryn Athyn to begin the week. The junior ended the week in Hawaii with 22 points on 6-of-9 shooting and six rebounds in a setback to Whitworth (Wash.).
