MAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week
T.J. Dalton (Arcadia / So. / East Stroudsburg, Pa.) earns his third conference swimmer of the week award after leading the Knights with 61 points for a third-place team finish at the TCNJ Invitational. Dalton swam four conference-best times, including three individual best times, against Division II and III swimmers. The sophomore capped his individual portion of the weekend in record-setting fashion, as he bested his own program record in the preliminaries of the 200-yard breaststroke before taking second overall with a new program record time of 2:07.47. He opened the weekend with a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:56.78. Dalton shaved two seconds off his prelim time to take fifth in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:10.67 and then finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 59.48 seconds. He also led off the 800-yard freestyle relay team that finished runner-up with a time of 7:06.26, a conference best time by more than five seconds. His 400 IM time is conference best by nearly 12 seconds, his 200 breaststroke time is a by nearly four seconds and his 100 IM time is by nearly three seconds. Dalton’s 100-breaststroke is ranked second in the MAC, sitting eight hundredths of a second behind the leader.
