MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Kendrea Williams (FDU-Florham / So., G-F / Piscataway, N.J.) repeats as conference player of the week for her second of the season. Williams led the Devils to a 1-1 week while averaging 32.5 points, three rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. She finished the week shooting 55 percent (21-of-38) from the floor, 55 percent (12-of-22) from behind the arc and 79 percent (11-of-14) from the charity stripe. In an 82-72 setback to No. 15 Messiah, Williams recorded 20 points, five rebounds, an assist and a steal. In a 94-66 win over Hartwick, the sophomore set a new school record with 45 points on 15-of-22 (68%) shooting. The 45 points were also a University of Scranton gymnasium (male or female) record. She also tied her own record with nine 3-pointers. More impressively, Williams outscored Hartwick 33-31 in the first half as the Devils took a 52-31 halftime lead.
