MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Jason Kenny (Misericordia / Jr., G / Dickson City, Pa.) earns his second conference weekly award of the season. Kenny led the Cougars to a 2-0 record in conference play and a top spot in the conference standings while averaging 26.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 3.0 assists and 1.0 block per game. He finished the week shooting 52 percent from the field and 92 percent (24-of-26) from the charity stripe. Kenny opened the week with 23 points on 7-of-13 shooting with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals in an 82-72 win over Eastern in the battle of the unbeaten teams in conference play. The junior then recorded 30 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double in an 84-75 win over Delaware Valley. He added five steals, two assists and two blocks in the game, while also going 17-of-18 from the charity stripe.
