Alex Newbold (Lycoming / Sr., G / Bowie, Md.) helped No. 10 Lycoming overcome a 12-point deficit with 4:09 left in regulation to post a 106-100 overtime win against Hood. Newbold became the 32nd player in program history to score 1,000 career points when he hit a floating layup with 1:51 remaining in overtime to give the Warriors a five-point lead. The senior poured in a career-high 27 points with 11 rebounds, five assists and two steals for his fourth-career double-double. He shot 10-of-15 from the field and 7-of-9 from the charity stripe. Newbold scored 17 of his 27 points in the second half and overtime, and he scored nine of the team’s 13 overtime points.
