MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Will McDermott (Widener / Sr. / Lansdowne, Pa.) repeats as conference track athlete of the week for his second of the season. McDermott won the 3,000-meter run at the Keogh Invitational with a time of 8:18.14. The senior’s time is the fastest in the conference by more than 20 seconds and is just off the MAC record time of 8:17.97 set by former teammate Ernie Pitone. His track converted time of 8:12.42 is the best time in NCAA Division III by more than two seconds.
