MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Alex Artur (Lycoming / Jr., M / Cinnaminson, N.J.) led the Warriors to a season-opening 12-9 win over Susquehanna, the team’s first win over the River Hawks since 2012. Artur won 12-of-16 faceoffs and collected nine ground balls. He provided two huge scoring plays, finding Travis Rode for an assist in the second quarter to thwart a Susquehanna rally that had tied the game at four, giving them a 5-4 lead. After falling behind 7-5, Artur won three-straight faceoffs, all resulting in goals, including a go-ahead goal scored by Artur himself.
