MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Clare Schoen (Misericordia / Jr. / Scranton, Pa.) earns her fifth conference weekly award of the season after being named the 2018 MAC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Year at the MAC Championship over the weekend. Schoen won gold in both the Mile run (5:04.02), and the 5,000-meter run (18:11.82). Her mile time was just off the MAC Championship record time of 5:03.49. Schoen also took silver in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:07.25. Her time was good enough, along with the champion, to best the previous MAC Championship record time of 10:08.89 set in 2014.
