MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Melissa O’Mara (Manhattanville / Fr., M / Huntington, N.Y.) had a big week over two wins for the Valiants. O’Mara recorded 17 points on 16 goals and one assist, and added 26 draw controls, 13 ground balls and seven caused turnovers. The freshman started the week with seven goals, seven ground balls, 12 draw controls and five caused turnovers in a 19-9 win over Alvernia. O’Mara then recorded nine goals with an assist for a season-high 10 points while adding six ground balls, two caused turnovers and a season-high 14 draw controls in a 24-19 win over Western Connecticut.
