MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Ta’riq Thomas (Delaware Valley / Sr. / Woodstown, N.J.) earns his third-straight conference weekly award of the outdoor season. Thomas shined at the prestigious Penn Relays, going against some of the top competition from all NCAA divisions. Thomas won the college men’s long jump and took fifth in the triple jump. In the long jump, the senior topped the field of 40 with a school record mark of 7.29 meters, breaking a 33-year old record. Then in the triple jump, Thomas reached a mark of 14.83 meters. Both marks are the best in the MAC, and both rank No. 5 in the country.
