MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Benjamin Schott (Messiah / Jr. / Hanover, Pa.) broke the MAC record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Swarthmore Final Qualifier last Monday. Schott finished the race with a time of 8:58.50 to break the previous conference record mark of 9:00.83 set by the Falcons’ Jared Schatz in 2016. The new record time ranks him second in Division III and qualified him for the 2018 NCAA Division III Championships. The time is also over 17 seconds faster than his previous personal best.
