Hanif Jones (Stevenson / Jr., DB / Prince George, Va.) made a pivotal pick-six mid-way through the third-quarter to shift the momentum completely to Stevenson’s side in a 50-21 win over Albright, a match-up between two of the top-four teams in the coaches’ preseason poll. The two recent MAC champions exchanged blows in the first half. After regaining the lead at 29-21 in the third quarter, Jones intercepted a pass on the ensuing Lions’ drive and returned it 31 yards for the touchdown to extend the Mustang’s lead to 36-21. Albright never gained momentum back. The senior also made three tackles from his corner position.
