MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Jamey Mikovich (Wilkes / Jr., Opp / Nesquehoning, Pa.) earns her second player of the week honor of the season. Mikovich tied the Wilkes single-match record of 29 kills set in 1993 during Saturday’s 3-1 win over Rutgers-Camden. They are also the most by anyone in the MAC Freedom this season. The junior added 24 digs, three blocks and two aces in the win as well. She finished the week hitting .365 with 5.79 kills per set (81 total), 4.21 digs per set (59 total) and 6.71 points per set (94 total). The junior also had eight aces and seven blocks for the week. Mikovich opened the week with 20 kills and seven digs in a setback to FDU-Florham, and then had three-straight doubles. She had 19 kills and 15 digs against Clarks Summit, 13 kills, 13 digs and five aces against Brooklyn, and the 29-24 against Rutgers-Camden.
