MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
August Axtman (King’s / Jr., D / Harrisburg, Pa.) earns his third conference defensive player of the week award this season. Axtman anchored a defense to a pair of shutouts in conference play to lock up a postseason berth. King’s allowed just 10 shots and two corner kicks across both games. Axtman also scored a pair of penalty-kick goals, including a game-winner in a 2-0 win at DeSales. In a 7-0 win over Delaware Valley, Axtman and the Monarchs did not allow a shot or a corner kick. The junior added another penalty-kick goal for his sixth of the season, and has now scored on a PK in three-straight matches.
