Nicholas Racanelli (Wilkes / Sr., 165 lbs. / West Creek, N.J.) earns his third conference weekly award of the season. Racanelli went 3-0 with a fall and two major decisions at the North/South Duals Saturday to push his record to 18-1 on the season. The senior’s pin over Mike Derrin in 4:48 helped give the Colonels a 27-24 upset win over No. 19 Stevens. Racanelli then recorded a 10-1 major decision over Southern Maine’s Juan Vernaza in an 18-17 team win. The senior finished with a 12-3 major decision over Matt Pangle as Wilkes fell short of defeating No. 25 Messiah.
